My name is Eric Young, I am an independent and self taught artist from the Baltimore Maryland area.
My amazing wife, Mindy and I
I have been drawing my entire life; my earliest memories are of drawing my favorite cartoon and comic characters as a child.
I began taking private art commissions in high school and continue to take a select number of commissions each year.
I started my professional art career working as a concept designer in 2010 and later moved on to freelance illustrating. I started creating my own short comic projects a few years ago for an indie comic anthology: Cthulhu is Hard to Spell
After the 2020 Pandemic, I realized I needed a creative change. So I paused my freelancing and began focusing on creating my own projects.
The Songs of Enoch was inspired by my love for mythic stories and my attempt to heal the damage from growing up in an oppressive Jehovah’s Witness community. I’ve been wrestling with my belief in God my whole life and struggling with some of the deepest questions of consciousness and being.
This project is a result of that ongoing struggle.
