Songs of Enoch is an early illustrated exploration of the origin of life, humanity, and the divine.
Through hand-drawn imagery and poetic storytelling, it reimagines the Genesis creation story through a shamanic lens, drawing on the myths and symbols that have shaped my imagination.
These four chapters are preserved here as an archive. They helped lay the creative foundation for Empire of Giants, where I plan to revisit this narrative with a fuller illustrated treatment as the story unfolds.
This is a personal mythic work, offered as a creative encounter with ancient stories, rather than a substitute for any community’s sacred texts.
More about the artist
I’m Eric Young, an independent, self-taught artist from the Baltimore, Maryland area. I began working as a concept designer in 2010 before moving into freelance illustration and comics. After 2020, I turned my attention toward creating my own worlds and stories.
Songs of Enoch grew from a lifelong engagement with belief, consciousness, and the power of myth. That exploration continues through my artwork and Empire of Giants.
